About Us and Autism
Autism is a lifelong neurological disability that results in impaired communication, emotional development and behavioural difficulties. People with autism require long term intensive therapy and access to appropriate resources just to reach basic milestones.
Families may have already received a diagnosis, are going through the process or just concerned. In any of these circumstances we may be able to assist your family.
Friends of Autism use a family friendly holistic approach to therapy and services and will work with your family to design our services to suit your individual needs.
We can assist you with support, information, resources and therapy services. Whilst we do have a fee structure this is negotiable depending on individual family circumstances. Our fees are below the cost of providing them and are supported by fundraising activities.
We are also a member of the ASD Panel for Early Intervention Services funded via FACHSIA of which children with ASD may be eligible for up to $6,000 per financial year (for 2 years) to assist with the cost of therapy authorised by the package. Our staff can give you the details of the fees for services under the package and you can enquire about eligibility via their Autism Advisor by calling (08) 9489 8900.
With your help and commitment we aim to assist you in enabling your child to reach their full potential.
